About Precious Cargo
My name is Sylvana Trudelle and I have been married to my husband, Alan Trudelle, for approximately 20 years now. I have two children: Joshua and Abigail. I love my family!
The reason I started a childcare out of my home was a desire to stay at home with my children. My mom watched Joshua for the first 2-1/2 years of his life then Abigail came along. After about 6 months, my mom was having a hard time watching both children. Coincidentally, the bank I was employed with decided to relocate my department to Rhode Island. I was stuck with a tough decision: do I will relocate to Rhode Island with my family or take the severance package and raise my children? I had 18 years invested with my employer; I decided the latter.
God works in mysterious ways and in our lives! I never imagined that I would be doing what I do and loving every moment! I love children and was charge of our children’s worship at our former church for about 7 years. I did a lesson plan, songs, story and snack weekly with the children. I stayed home with my children for about one year and decided that if I was to spend another winter home with them, the basement would have to be finished. Halfway into the basement remodel; I decided to give childcare a try. This was after going to Walmart and buying all the preschool supplies I thought I needed to be the best super mom and teach my kids preschool ($400 later). Looking back, I see God was preparing me to work with children all along. I can’t imagine what I would love to do other than childcare.
